We are both so sorry to hear of Shirley's passing. She was a generous, fun loving Lady in our community and will be truly missed. I talked to her at Gillis store in Codroy Valley just a few days before Christmas. Always had a little chat and a laugh every time I saw her.
Her Family brought her the greatest joy, she was so proud of you all.
Be gentle with yourselves, and hold on to those memories,
Sincere sympathy to Edward Juanita ,Lynn, Nancy, Duane, Helen, Carmine , their families and all relatives and friends
God Bless.

Condolences to the Ryans of O’Regan’s.
24 Proverbs 3 informs us that “[b]y wisdom, a household will be built up, and by discernment it will prove firmly established.”
Shirley (Kelly) Ryan was, with scarce notice, welcomed into the bosom of Jesus at Stephenville’s hospital, on 28 December 2022.
At O’Regan’s, Codroy Valley, Shirley and surviving spouse, wonderful Edward, during their 68 married years, built, and firmly established, a household of marvelous daughters and sons.
To well know and love Shirley and Edward, their children—and their grandchildren—as well as their families has been a unique honor and blessing.
I was one of the uniquely blessed.
That blessing lives in, and fortifies, me every day.
Few of us, during life’s journey, make a footprint. Fewer, still, leave a permanent imprint.
Among those few to do so was Shirley Ryan.
For all the adult years, among her 89 calendars, Shirley proved selfless, generous, affectionate, and gentle. At times of trouble, she proved an anchor; furnishing wise counsel. She was clever cake-baker and shrewd hen eggs-retailer. And, of course, who will ever forget her constantly prankish, jovial disposition.
She now rests, in deserved eternal peace, in the Valley. She has left invaluable impact on memories and in hearts of all who loved her and are sorely missing her; especially the Ryans of O’Regan’s.

To Mr. Ryan and the entire family. Tom and I send our sincere condolences on Mrs. Ryan's passing.
We met through Helen and it was such a pleasure. When I was asked to plan a surprise birthday party and cook dinner for Helen she had no idea what was going on. We danced all night. Anyway as part of that surprise Mr. and Mrs. Ryan along with other family members were able to travel to Dartmouth to attend. Mrs. Ryan's first introduction to me was call me Shirley! I remember saying no ma'am I can't do that. Out of respect and love I just couldn't. She absolutely loved everything I cooked that night especially the curry bake chicken. She was so thankful and her easy going way made it so easy to love her. She told me she was so glad Helen and I were friends. Mrs. Ryan was the type of person you loved from the moment you met her. I know she is with The Creator and hugging her son Douglas and catching up. Mrs. Ryan you were one of a kind, a true gem. Rest in Power Queen.
Love Cambee

To Edward and all the family
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of a beautiful lady. Shirley was the true definition of a wonderful loving mother and grandmother. She accepted me as part of her family and treated me the same as her grandchildren. I have many happy memories of time spent with the family. She always had a smile and a warm hug. She was always busy in the kitchen, feeding everyone who came in. I loved when she cooked a ham, it was delicious. I will cherish all the wonderful childhood memories I have of my time in the Ryan household.
Sending my love to you all.
