Dear Aunt Gladys and family, I am so saddened to hear about Uncle Eph’s death. Despite so many years without contact, I have always thought of him and loved him dearly. Like Doris, I also have an early memory of him helping me learn to read. I was mortified that I made an error and he just said, “ah, that’s how you learn”! I did tell him I loved him when he came to see mom when she was dying. I was so happy to have seen him! My thoughts are with you all!

One of my earliest memories included uncle Eph helping me with my schoolwork. He used to say don’t worry about what others say, you work at your speed And never quit. I remember him as being a positive role model who once said “it takes a River to raise a child “ My condolences to aunt Gladys and family.
