Obituary of Morgan John Taylor

Please share a memory of Morgan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
With deep sorrow the family of Morgan John Taylor announce his sudden passing on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2024, at the age of 61. Born in Rose Blanche, Morgan was the son of Hannah Taylor (nee Hatcher) and the late Thomas Taylor. Leaving to mourn his mother Hannah Taylor, his 3 Taylor maidens, Dara, Dana (Andrew) and Morgen (Matthew). His 4 beautiful grand daughters Abigail, Charlotte, Izzabelle and Ezra. He also leaves to mourn his sisters and brothers, Sharon Taylor, Joan (Gerald) Leamon, Pam (Gerald), Bruce (Natalie) Taylor, Tim Taylor, Henry (Doris) Taylor, and Chris Taylor. As well as nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Morgan was predeceased by his father, Thomas Taylor, sister, Ruby Taylor, and forever friend Jeanne McKenney. Morgan loved the water and spent his life working on and living by it. He was blessed with hands that could fix or create anything. A true artist at heart from the kids bedroom walls, popsicle stick sculptures, to his boat and beautiful pastels. He was a proud man and knew what it meant to work hard. Morgan celebrated many years of sobriety but ultimately lost his battle with mental health. His 3 daughters were his whole world and what a legacy he leaves behind in them. He absolutely treasured his 4 granddaughters. Morgan loved his mother dearly and called her every day. Dad loved his coffee, smokes and rock and roll. He taught us to ride our bikes, about our cars, a little plumbing, boats, country music, and some much more. We taught him about love. If there’s anything anyone can do right now, it’s take care of your own mental health. Check in on your loved ones and hold them dear. This year has taught us how truly important that is and how precious life can be. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to CMHA Canadian Mental Health Association. In keeping with Morgans wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors on Friday Aug. 16th from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Oceanside Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Oceanside Funeral Home. Words of comfort can be sent to the family by visiting www.oceansidefh.ca
