Obituary of Goldie Osmond

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Goldie Osmond announces her peaceful passing on Friday, June 28th at Bay St. George Long Term Care Center at the age of 64. Born in Port aux Basques, Goldie was the daughter of the late Emanuel and Theresa Osmond. She leaves to mourn, brother-in-law Hiram Pearce (Linda McIsaac), sisters-in-law, Catherine Osmond (Fred Carter) and Florence McIsaac, and many nieces and nephews that will miss her dearly, including her niece, Susan Pearce (Keith Brown) who cared for her for years. She will also be missed by her special friend, Ellen Harvey and Goldie’s two loving cats, Bella and Katie. Goldie was the last surviving member of her immediate family, she was predeceased by her parents, sister Annie Pearce, brothers, Lew Osmond, and Ralph Osmond. In keeping with Goldie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving family and friends Tuesday, July 2nd, from 2:00-4:00 P.M. And 7:00-9:00 P.M., with a family service beginning at 8:30 P.M. with Rev. Faye Coffin officiating at Oceanside Funeral Home. The interment of ashes will follow on Wednesday, July 3rd, with the procession leaving from Oceanside Funeral Home at 1:30 P.M. and continuing to St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill.
