Obituary of Elsie Parsons

 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Elsie Parsons (nee Pearce) announces her passing at the Mountain Hope Manor, Port aux Basques  on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the age of 81. Born in Cape Ray she was the daughter of the late Emmanuel and Ameila (Short) Pearce. Elsie leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Roderick of 63 years, children, Cecil Parsons (Charlene Blackmore), Verna (Claude) Billard, Donna Parsons , Bonita (Craig Rodgers), Denise Parsons (Mike  Saulnier) and Troy (Sue)Parsons, grandchildren, Lori (Danny) Wilson, Cody Parsons (Savannah Osmond), Daniel Billard, Blaine Parsons, Keelan Saulnier, and Logan Phillips, great grandchildren, Taylor and Cayleigh Osmond, Mia Wilson and Dillian and Melody Billard, brother and sisters, Frank (Doreen) Pearce, Phyllis Piercey, Stan (Grace) Ellis, Queen (Rick) Lillington., brothers and sister -in laws, Cecil (Dorothy) Parsons, Mildred (Benjamin) Osmond, Carl Parsons, and a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends.  She was predeceased by sisters, Theresa Currie, Caroline Pike, Frances Coffin, Dorcas Pearce, Catherine  Osmond and Brigitte Cousins, brothers, Llewellyn, Joseph and Nelson Pearce, son-in-law, Justin Kidd. The family will receive relatives and friends at Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques, Monday, September 23 from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, September 24, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service taking place on Wednesday, September 25th at 2:00 p.m. at St. James Anglican Church with Rev. Jane Allen officiating, interment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to charity of one’s choice.
