Obituary of Linda Louisa Lawrence

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Linda Louisa Lawrence announces her passing on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at St. Catherine’s Site-Niagara Health System with her loving family by her side at the age of 69. Born in Port aux Basques, she was the daughter of the late George and Dulcie (Pearce) Gillam. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Emmanuel Lawrence of 49 years, daughter Sherry Lawrence, son, Robert (Mandy), Lawrence, grandchildren, Nicky Irwin (Deanna), Ryan Lawrence, Tyler (Gabrielle) Blackmore, Madison, Madilyn and Madix Lawrence, Josh Adshead (Cheyenne Embury), and Noah Gamble, great grandchildren, Aubree, Grayson, and Brayden Blackmore, Hendrix and Lucas Adshead . She will forever remain in the hearts of her sisters and brothers, Elaine (Eric) Chaulk, Isaac Gillam, Geraldine (William) Fudge, Sandra (Roger) Osmond, Donna (Don) Payne, Dave Gillam (Mary Hefferman) Roxanne (Melvin) Fiander, mother in –law, Lillian Lawrence,  brothers and sisters in laws, Frances (Maxwell) Day, Audrey (Jim) Russell, Don (Wanda) Lawrence,  Alex (Juanita) Lawrence, Ken (Peggy) Lawrence, Gloria ( Kevin) Mabee, Howard (Ada) Lawrence, Marina (Ted) Lawrence and Diane (Donald) Foote, as well a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Roland Gillam, father in law, James Thomas Lawrence Sr, sister-in-law Ann Fudge, brother in law; James Lawrence. In keeping with Lynn’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving friends and family on Monday, September 23 from 2 – 4 & 7-9 p.m.  at Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 24th at 2:00 p.m.  at St. James Anglican Church with  Rev. Jane Allan  officiating, interment will follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
