Obituary of Frances Scott
Please share a memory of Frances to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Frances Scott announce her passing at Dr. Charles L LeGrow Long Term Care on Thursday, January 25th, 2024, surrounded by family, at the age of 90. Born in Isle aux Morts, Frances was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Eliza Seymour.
Frances leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories, her loving children; Sidney (Thannia) Scott, Joan Sutton, Anetha (Clayton) Francis, Jim (June) Scott, Ann (Richard) Bateman, Jackie Musseau, Don (Olga) Scott, Junior (Mary) Scott, Harriet Warren, Paul (Cecelia) Scott, Rick (Valda) Scott, Beryl (Kevin) Dominix, and Jamie Scott. She also leaves to mourn; 23 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren, brothers and sister-in-law, Clayton Pink, Kenneth King, Evelyn Seymour, large circle of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Frances was predeceased by her husband, George Scott, her daughter, Patricia “Pat” Dicks, son in laws, George Sutton, Victor Musseau, and Perry Warren, sisters and brothers, Harriett (Howard) Scott, Annie Florence Pink, Blanche King, James Seymour, and Benjamin Seymour.
Frances and her husband George celebrated 58 years of marriage, in which they were truly each others best friend. The love they shared for each other, and their family was truly unconditional. Frances showed her love by creating a happy home for her family, sharing food with neighbors, and contributing to her community. The simple act of giving a hug was one of the pure joys of being a grandmother. Frances will be forever remembered as a pillar of strength and warmth.
The family would like to say special thanks to her homecare workers, Mandy Kettle, Collette Lillington, and Stephanie Bessey, as well as to the staff of Long-Term Care.
In keeping with Frances’ wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held from Oceanside Funeral Home with Rev. Jane Allen officiating, with private interment to follow. Flowers graciously accepted or donations in memory of Frances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Words of comfort can be sent to the family by visiting www.oceansidefh.ca.
