I remember Pat as always smiling and always having a joke or a story. Some of my fondest memories of visiting Newfoundland were staying at Pat and Joan’s in the Valley. Love you. Thought I would share a photo that always gave me a chuckle. A man of style.

Joan and family,
We were so saddened to learn of Pat’s passing. We both worked with Pat over the years at MAI and Bob has memories of Pat back years ago when they worked on the PAB harbour. Pat was full of quick wit and humour. He had a knack for making people laugh. He was also kind and caring and made a point of speaking to you if he saw you. We believe you are with Mitchell now Pat. RIP our friend.

When we were young, we used to fast during Lent. One year, I gave up chocolate and saved all my bars looking forward to Easter Sunday. Pat said he was giving up chocolate also and we should hide our chocolate together in the same place. So, I showed him where my bars were. Next day or two, when I looked, ALL my bars were gone. I loved my brother Pat, but not so much on that day seeing his chocolate toothed grin. Love to Joan and the family. Rest in Peace, Pat. Ag♥️

“I’ll take a pound and a half of two and a half and a half pound of two, yard of kaki, chaw tobaccie and five cents worth of glue …. And wrap it up please!!”
He used to say this so fast and I always thought he was so cool!! And it was so catchy! I probably have it wrong, I was young… but the riddle stuck with me always.
Thank you for always being such a loving and welcoming person. Your home always felt “at home” when we visited Newfoundland.

I am truly saddened of Pat’s passing. He was my sister’s, Heather Glavine, father-in-law. I’ve known Pat for over 20 years and I always enjoyed my time with him, he had many stories of everything from work to hunting and most times he would have me laughing at his tales. You will be greatly missed Pat. God bless.
