Obituary of Norman McNeil

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Norman McNeil announces his sudden passing at home on Sunday, June 25, 2023, with his loving wife by his side at the age of 69. Born in Port aux Basques, Norman was the son of the late Norman and Hilda (nee Osmond) McNeil. Norman leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 50 years, Barbara (nee Hayward), his loving children, Tina McNeil (Edison), Sherry (Jason) Gale and Lisa (Lendy) Osmond, his grandchildren who he loved dearly, Jennifer, Corey, Chantel, Justin, Desmond, Brock, Lyndon and Trulee, his pride and joy, great grandchildren, Kaysen, Emerson and Sadie. Norman will never be forgotten by his sisters, Roberta (Bob) Thorne, Ann McNeil ( Tony Tulk), brothers, Johnny ( Geraldine) and Craig McNeil, brothers and sisters-in-laws, Garry (Dena) Hayward, Wayne (Alice) Hayward, Pam (Paul) Mauger and Wanda Hayward, many nieces, nephews, extended family and a large circle of friends. Norman was predeceased by his sister, Edith McNeil, brother -in-law, Louis Hayward, mother and father in law Lucy and Jim Hayward. Family and friends may visit Oceanside Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 27th from 2:00 -4:00 & 7:00 -9:00 P.M. In keeping with Norman’s wishes cremation to follow, with interment at a later date.
