Obituary of Frederick Skinner
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Frederick Skinner announces his passing on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 83. Born in Isle aux Morts he was the son of the late Arthur and Amelia Jane (LeFrense) Skinner. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving wife of 58 years Betty (nee Billard) Skinner; children, Rowena (Gerard) Doyle, Junior (Naomi) Skinner, Cathy Skinner (Syd Mohrhardt) and Deanna (Dean) Spicer, grandchildren, Keshia (Adam) Ryan, Jordan Doyle, Julia and Jenna Skinner, Cathy and Charlie Spicer, and two greatgrandchildren that called him “Superpop”, Sawyer and Locklynn Ryan, sisters, brothers and sisters and brothers in law and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and friends.
In keeping with Fred’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving friends and family on Friday, July 12th, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 13th, 2:00 to 4: 00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques. Funeral service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Long Term Care Unit at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre or Alzheimer’s Society.
