It is with great sadness that the family of the late Theresa Lefrense announces her passing on Thursday, December 8th after a courageous battle at Dr. Charles Legrow Health Center at the age of 85 with her loving family by her side. Born in Isle aux Morts, Theresa was the daughter of the late Jack and Julia Seymour.
Theresa leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her children; Alma (Dorman) Carroll of Margaree, Alphonse (Mable) Lefrense of Dartmouth, NS, Jim (Joanne) Lefrense of Isle aux Morts, Austin Lefrense of Hamilton, Ont., Mille of Eastern Passage NS, Eric (Nancy) Lefrense of Eastern Passage, NS, loving grandmother to; Tracy (Boyd) Bond, Trudy (Darren) Hodder, Sandi (Terry) Keeping, Natashua (Colin) Osmond, Sharon (Gary) Lefrense, Fabian (Lisa) Lefrense, Brandon Lefrense, Dermont (Tracy) Keeping, Kevin (Ashley), Tori, Ralph (Sheila), Dana (Barb), great grandchildren; Erica, Jackson, Kaitlyn (Kyle), Geneva (Cory), Kelsie (David), Carly (Kyle), Devon, Mason, Gracie, Eli, Lucas, Dakota, Cierra, Kaden, Noah, Matthew, Preston, Johnathan, Devon, Faith, Jordan, great great grandchildren; Olivia, Georgia, Makenna, Bridget, Grayson, Teegan and Addison.
She also leaves to mourn her sisters, Vera Bragg, Pearl Harvey, Elsie (Wayne) Billard, brothers, Gordon (Maggie) Seymour, John (Judy) Seymour, sister-in-law,Shirley Seymour,brothers-in-laws, Angus Macdonald, and Jack Carroll, plus a large circle of nieces,nephews, friends and extended family.
Theresa was predeceased by her husband, Eli, parents Jack and Julia Seymour, parents in law, Jim and Amelia Lefrense, sisters, Susanna, Mildred, Aggie (Wesley) Coleman, Naomi (Johnny) Ball, Maude (Eric) Tapp, brother, Garfield Seymour, brothers in law, Melvin Bragg and George Harvey
In keeping with Theresa’s wishes, cremation has taken place
Family and friends may visit St. Augustine’s Church on Saturday December 10th from 2:00 P.M to 4:00 P.M and 7:00 P.M to 9:00 P.M The funeral service will take place on Sunday, December 11th from St. Augustine’s Church, with Deacon Park officiating at 2:00 P.M with interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Theresa can be made to a charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements were under the care of Oceanside Funeral Home, 23 Read Street, Port aux Basques.
