Harvey was a happy man. I met Harvey on my first trip to Newfoundland with Carol. Harvey raised a Mexican flag as a welcome for Carol and I. I do not think Harvey enjoyed fishing as much as he enjoyed hunting, nevertheless he accompanied me to go fishing most of the time. I would like to tell Harvey wherever he is, thank you for his affidavit so I can apply for Canadian residence. Harvey can be sure he sponsored a good Canadian citizen. Peace with him.

Shirley, Carol and Family
Please accept our sincere condolences on this sad day.
Your father was a special human being and that was reflected in his love for Shirley and family and their love back.
He truly walked gently on this earth.
We will thank him always for his kindness to his good friend Dave Martin at a time when he needed it most.
Harvey was someone to emulate when thinking of others.

Shirley, Carol, Patsy and Jim, it is with our deepest sadness and condolences that I am writing this message. Besides growing up in Newtown and having workedwith you at Artron's before joining the military and attending school with Carol; Mr. O. knew me. Over the years we meet on my return holidays to PAB
In later years, I have truly enjoyed reviewing all the photos shared by Carol of your moose hunting trips filled with laughter and love. May God's blessings be upon you at this very difficult time. Love Brian and Susan Devereaux

Shirley and family. Losing a loved one is very traumatic and a huge loss to the family and leaves a huge void. But the precious memories will live on forever in your hearts. There are lots of memories that each of you will share over time and laugh about and some you will cry over. I remember when we bought our property next door to you in the Codroy Valley and met you and Harvey for the first time, we were welcomed as friends and family. oh the laughs we shared. One fond memory is Cal saying "Harve might be deaf but he sure can hear the bell ringing for our afternoon toddy", Kepp your family close to your heart and hug each other close. Life is precious and to be celebrated. Sincere condolences to you and your family.
Hugs my friend.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the loss of Mr. Harvey Osmond. Our hearts are heavy in communion with the Osmond family (for Mrs. Shirley Osmond, for Carol, Pasty, Jim, and grand & ggrand children) and extended family. He was a great man, a loving and devoted husband and father, an exemplary educator, a model friend, and a tremendously admired member of his community. I regret that we are unable to attend the funeral service but our minds are with the family as they weep his loss and celebrate his life.

Sincere condolences to Shirley and family !
Harvey was my teacher in grades 8 and 9 and along with his friend and coworker Lester Vey made the very best teaching team a girl could ask for in high school. I loved everything about that man ; his teaching skills , his kindness and respect for his students was beyond anything anyone could imagine. RIP Harvey ( Mr. Osmond ) you will forever be loved and remembered.
